1. The Music Festival, The Seeds of Kindness is open to all Malaysian public and private college or university students, aged 18 and above. Minors must have the permission of their parents or legal guardian.
  2. Participation is in groups. Each group should consist of 5 – 8 participants only. This ensemble should consist of the composer, musicians and singers.
  3. All participants in a group must be students of the same Malaysian college/university they are representing. Non-Malaysian students studying in Malaysian colleges/universities are encouraged to participate.
  4. Each group is allowed one OR multiple entries. Each entry must be registered with a separate entry form, entry fee and name of team.
  5. Once you have registered, two copies of the book entitled Splitting the Arrow by Prem Rawat will be sent to the group leader via courier. Additional copies of the book can be obtained from MPH, Popular Bookstore, Kinokuniya, Borders, Times & New Century bookstore.
  6. Once you have read the book entitled Splitting the Arrow, compose your song based on the book you have read. The lyrics may touch on the stories and/or moral values and/or your personal understanding of the book. The lyrics must be written in the English language.
  7. Participants are required to submit the lyrics and a one-shot video recording of the song. The submitted videos will be screened and qualified entries will be uploaded on to a youtube channel for public voting.
  8. A total of 10 songs will be selected to perform at the Music Festival, The Seeds of Kindness. Please refer to judging criteria for further details.
  9. The finalists will perform to a live audience on a date and venue that will be informed later.
